Strolling, choosing Christmas decorations, looking for original gifts, buy local products to share them at the Christmas table, and tasting typical snacks, accompanied by hot wine, beer, or with tea flavored with spices and fruits of the season – are some of the activities Poland offers during Christmas time. In many cities the markets also become attractive cultural spaces where carol concerts and exhibitions are held, or where you can admire beautiful nativity scenes.

Visit of the former Polish capital. A walk through the Old Town. During our visit we will see a part of the wall that surrounded the city with the famous St Florian’s Gate, the Market Square with the Cloth Hall, the church of the Virgin Mary, the tower of the old town hall. Then, we will walk near the historic buildings of the Jagiellonian University where many world-famous Poles studied, for example Nicolas Copernicus or Karol Wojtyla, later named Pope John Paul II. During our route we will see the church of St Andrew and the cathedral of St Peter and Paul’s Church. At the end of our walk we will reach the Wawel Hill, where the Wawel Castle is located - the former headquarters of the Kings of Poland and the cathedral (with Sigismund Bell, the biggest in Poland). Krakow's Main Square, being one of the largest in Europe, dazzles with its Christmas display. The space has charming wooden booths with a multitude of gifts, street food and stages for cultural events. During the walk through the markets we will invite you to try Oscypek (smoked sheep cheese from the mountains of Poland) accompanied by a cup of mulled wine. Nothing better than starting Christmas like this and feeling the Christmas spirit! Free afternoon to enjoy the markets on your own. Overnight in Krakow.

Krakow - WroclawWroclaw

In the morning direct train to Wroclaw. Welcome to the City of Hundred Bridges, a place full of magic. The rich history of the city and its medieval character each year attract millions of tourists. The excursion begins with a visit of the St John the Baptist Cathedral, dating from the 13th century. The cathedral is located on Ostrow Tumski Island which is the oldest neighborhood in Wroclaw. Crossing the bridge over the river Oder, we enter the Old City to see the University of Wroclaw with its famous Leopoldina Hall, its representative Baroque hall. The walk through the medieval streets will take us to the Market Square, one of the largest in Europe, surrounded by picturesque houses and with the Gothic Town Hall in the center. The rest of the day will be free to enjoy the Wroclaw Christmas Market consisting of 160 stalls, which occupy a large part of the Market Square. The walk through the market will be like a culinary trip around the world. The same diversity exists among the gift ideas: at the market you can buy Polish ceramic products, Arab cosmetics and African jewelry. The Christmas market is not only a commercial event, but also a place for shows and presentations. One of the characters present during the evento is the dwarf: formerly a political and artistic symbol, today, a symbol of Wroclaw. Here we will also enjoy a drink and typical snack suggested by the local guide. Overnight in Wroclaw.
