Day

SaturdayTyniec

Start exploring with the former Jewish quarter of Kazimierz, now a bohemian district full of atmospheric cafés. Continue to Podgorze with Schindler’s factory–museum and the Square of the Heroes of the Ghetto. From there we cycle up the Kosciuszko Mound for great views over the city. We continue along the Wisla river boulevards and reach Benedictine Monastery in Tyniec. Monks who live in the abbey make traditional products such as honey, pickles, artisan cheese and smoked meats, which we will sample during a delicious lunch. On return we stop by Zakrzowek – a quarry filled with crystal clear water to attract diving, caving, cycling and rock-climbing enthusiasts. From a viewpoint at Zakrzowek you can admire the panorama of Krakow and the Tatra mountains. Return to Krakow. Overnight in Krakow.

SundayPieskowa Skala

Morning transfer to Krzeszowice. Cycle through the quaint villages with original wooden architecture. We continue to Bedkowska Valley, full of majestic rock formations and wild nature – a real paradise for the two-wheels’ enthusiasts. We have lunch at a traditional fish farm and enjoy a freshly grilled trout. After the break we continue our journey to the Bat Cave and the Castle at Pieskowa Skala, believed by many to be even more beautiful than the Wawel Castle. On the way we will pass an iconic 25m-tall limestone pillar called Hercules’ Club (Maczuga Herkulesa). The next stage of our adventure is Ojcowski National Park where we enjoy the nature and a traditional snack of bread with lard and gherkins. The scenic return route takes us back to the city through the Pradnik river valley with stretching views of Krakow and Polish mountains. Return to Krakow. Overnight in Krakow.
