Get an overview of Social-realism architecture at the impressive Constitution Square (Plac Konstytucji), followed by the vibrant social life of the neighbouring Saviour’s Square (Plac Zbawiciela). Catch a glimpse of the river from the Ujazdowski Castle – now the Centre of Contemporary Art. Continue from the Royal Baths Park (Lazienki) along the Royal Route, the most representative street in Warsaw. Cross the river from leafy Powisle and continue along a forest path on its wild bank. Cross over again and enjoy the ride along the boulevards, lined with restaurants and cafés. Discover the beautifully restored colourful Old Town with the Royal Castle, Market Square and Barbican. Make your way past the Grand Theatre and National Opera to the gorgeous Saxon Gardens with the famous Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Next stop will be the Palace of Culture – Stalin’s “gift” to post-war Warsaw. Learn about the recent Jewish history at the nearby Plac Grzybowski, the former centre of Jewish life. Return to the hotel. Overnight in Warsaw.

Sunday
Transfer to the outskirts of the city and cycle through the park of Powsin, one of the local’s favourite outdoor spots with a swimming pool, botanical gardens and barbeque areas. Ride past fields and forests to the leafy spa town of Konstancin, famous for its healing saline graduation towers, a beautiful spa park and fascinating architecture. Continue through beautiful countryside, sunflower fields and apple orchards towards the Vistula river, where we will do a ferry crossing to Karczew. The surrounding forests are full of surprising discoveries, like a forgotten Jewish cemetery, natural reserve lake and beautiful wooden villas. Continue through the woods to Otwock – in the 1920s a popular holiday town with a casino in a palace and historical convalescent homes. Finish the tour at the restored historical railway station with an atmospheric café. Transfer back to the hotel. Overnight in Warsaw.
